Subway Looking is a slideshow proposal for a two-way vinyl drawing of the subway windows, shifted directly onto two train doors. The drawings are completed whenever the doors simultaneously open up at a transfer station. In the performance lecture, I analyzed the open train doors as a socially unified but ephemeral space, with the help of a mobile model that is made for various audiences, including the MTA staff and administrators. Audience members were invited to look through the model afterward.
