This project is a roof drawing tracing after Viele's 1874 topographical map of New York. Blown to exact scale, the chalk drawing allows viewers to step into a representational past, and distort it as they walk. As documentation, the drawing will exist as fragmented photographs placed loosely on the floor for people to walk over.
