"Rear Radiating Rear" is an audio-narrative about a character attempting to connect with strangers on the bus by harnessing the body heat left on the seats. Using heat warmers and increasingly absurd methods, they spend a month experimenting, ultimately confronting the indifferent expressions of those they sought to engage.
As an installation, a pair of headsets were placed in The Cooper Union library, inviting viewers to sit and listen. Unbeknownst to the listeners, their seat would also simultaneously warm a bench in a different part of the building across the glass windows.
